The TCP monitor checks that a raw TCP connection can be opened to a service – useful for ports that do not speak HTTP.
Enter the target as host:port, for example example.com:443.
How long Ravnsight waits for the connection to open before the check counts as failed.
The monitor only checks that the TCP connection opens. It does not otherwise send or interpret any data.
A failed check is confirmed from a second location before it alarms.
