DNS monitor

82 Views Last updated: 2026-10-24

The DNS monitor watches your DNS records and can alarm both on wrong values and on changes.

Record types

Tick which record types to check: A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, NS and TXT.

Expected records per type

In the textarea, enter one expected value per line, per record type. Examples:

  • A: 203.0.113.10
  • MX: 10 mail.example.com
  • NS: ns1.example.com

Track changes

If you enable Track changes, the monitor adopts a baseline – a snapshot of the current records. It then warns when the records differ from that baseline. This is useful even when you do not know the exact values to expect and simply want to be told if anything changes.

No false alarms

A failed check is confirmed from a second location before it alarms.
