Connecting Ravnsight Detective to Ravnsight is what turns local logging into diagnosis: the cloud knows when something broke from the outside, the plugin knows what changed inside, and together they become a likely cause.
How to pair
- Install and activate Detective on the site (see Install Ravnsight Detective).
- Open the site page in Ravnsight. The Internal data box shows a pairing code as soon as the plugin is in place.
- Enter the code under Ravnsight → Connect in the WordPress admin.
How the connection works
From then on the plugin pulls its instructions from Ravnsight – the cloud never opens a connection into your site, and there are no inbound ports to open. It is the same pull model our monitoring nodes use. You can disconnect at any time; data stops flowing and the plugin goes back to logging locally only.
