1. Add the site
On the dashboard, click Add site and enter the full address, e.g. https://www.example.com. Use the address your visitors use – with or without www as it actually resolves.
2. What happens right away
We create two monitors: an HTTP monitor for the start page and a certificate check. The first check runs within a minute. The site page shows the state of every monitor, the latest response times and any incidents.
3. Decide who gets alerted
On the site page, the Alerts panel has three steps: where alerts go, when we contact you, and what happens if nobody reacts. Your own e-mail is already a channel; type a colleague's address to add them.
4. Add more monitors
Click Add monitor to watch the checkout page, the login page, the domain registration, DNS, an API or a cron job (heartbeat). Each monitor type has its own settings and a short explanation.
